Our Story

It all started when Bailey, our 3 year old beagle, started reverse sneezing.  We were terrified something was seriously wrong.   We were told by our veterinarian that she has seasonal allergies and they worsen in the summer.  She needed allergy medicine daily.  After no real improvement we decided we needed to do more. So we began researching pet nutrition and benefits and decided to make our own homemade dog food. With extensive research and some trial and error we finally figured it out. Now Bailey has very few episodes of reverse sneezing (she is a beagle after all), no allergy medications and a beautiful healthy coat along with fresher breath.        

During this trial and error we met Benjie.  Benjie is a nine-year-old Terry Poo whose owners complained had bad breath, and a dull looking coat. Benjie couldn’t keep up with Bailey during a play date so our friends decided to join in the homemade food bandwagon and haven’t looked back since.  Benjie now has a shiny coat,  fresh breath and is full of energy.  He can keep up with Bailey and even outplay her.  

For Benjie and Bailey this change to homemade dog food made a world of difference. That’s why we all decided to start Bark Kitchens so that every dog owner and dog has a chance to get the best benefits for their health and be the best they can.
