Feeding Guidelines

When switching to a fresh diet, gradually ntroduce the Bark Kitchens meals to help make a smooth transition. We suggest that you use 25% fresh food and 75% kibble on day one followed by 25% increase of fresh meals and decrease of kibble the following days.

If your dog's stomach is more sensitive, prolong Day 2 to a 50/50 mix for a few additional days.

Below are the guidelines for a normal adult dog within its perfect weight. Depending on the age, activity, life state and condition of your dog, the feeding guidelines will need to be adjusted.

Pregnant or lactating females, need two to three times the normal adult requirement.

Puppies, need up to twice the normal adult requirement from four to fourteen months of age and two to three feedings daily.

Stray dogs need 10-15% more than the normal adult requirement.

If your dog is underweight or overweight the feeding amount should be adjusted accordingly.

The recommended daily feeding amount for a healthy adult dog:

Serve 4 oz – 8 oz per day for 5 – 20 lbs dog

Serve 8 oz – 16 oz per day for 21 – 40 lbs dog

Serve 16 oz – 24 oz per day for 41 – 60 lbs dog

Serve  24 oz– 32oz  per day for 61 – 100 lbs dog.
